Sami Kimberley is a creative director and regenerative designer working at the intersection of ecology, material and human culture. Her practice, eco-cultural design, starts from the idea that cultures are inseparable from the ecosystems they emerge from and positions design as a mediator within depleted social and ecological systems. Her material work includes Clam-Crete, a composite made from the shells of the invasive Golden Clam in the Thames, developed as an alternative to sand extraction.
